I remember one year Salt & Straw did a sweet corn ice cream, and it has haunted me ever since.

In the PNW, summer means Dungeness crab, with lots of butter and lemon. I like to make a crisp with all the delicious stone fruit, and eat it cold with yogurt for breakfast. I make Samin Nosrat’s tomato panzanella practically weekly during tomato season (not for at least another month here), and I always make s’more’s at least once.

Love the idea of bringing all the “deconstructed” elements to make a perfect BLT on a spur of the moment picnic. Very romantic.
